The name finds its birth in the idea of architecture being more of a second skin, the first one being this beautiful, holistic and co-existing environment on earth, which we take shelter from. The main is to extend this idea of the environment into its second shell- the architecture. 
We imagine architecture as a humble and quiet intervention into the landscapes, which would mean that architecture would serve as a background for life to take over. Therefore, the name also takes the meaning of the word background, serving only as a second layer to the life it is meant to hold.
